Boulder Astronomy and Space Society is one of the best-kept secrets on campus, Keith Gleason, manager of Sommers-Bausch Observatory and staffer at Fiske Planetarium, said. The group hosts free Friday-night viewings, Gleason said, which he does not see being attended by students.

The club’s next meeting will be at 7 p.m. April 20 at Sommers-Bausch Observatory.

Yuchen Wu

Yuchen is a senior student at CU double majoring in finance and accounting. He loves journalism because it gives him an opportunity to see this world objectively as it is. He appreciates the truth, even though he thinks truth is the bottom of abyss. Through journalism, he cultivated a deep concern about people. He enjoys making his news involved with people, and he thinks the only solution to make the news better is by understanding them.

Joseph Wirth

Do you know Joe Wirth? is a common question rung around The Hill area of Boulder, typically on the weekends. But the thing is no one knows who this guy is, yet. Fresh into the the journalism world, this is Wirth's second semester working at the CU Independent. When asked how being a sports columnist is, he simply replied, "This is only just the beginning."
