Holland’s suspension stems from an incident on Oct. 24 in which Holland was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault.

Allegedly, Holland entered a female student’s dorm room without her permission, and then touched her without consent.

According to the arrest report, at about 1:00 a.m., Holland entered a female student’s dorm room. The alleged victim told CUPD she felt uncomfortable and asked him to leave “three or four times.”

According to the report, Holland wouldn’t leave, so she got into her bed  and told Holland to “get out of my room and turn the light off when you leave.”

The report goes on to state that the light went off and the alleged victim went to sleep, but woke up and felt someone next to her. That person then touched the alleged victim inappropriately, she told police.

She then pretended to be asleep, hoping the person would go away, according to the report.

A short time later, according to the report, the person jerked away and left, and the lights came on in the room.

Holland has been charged with unlawful sexual contact, second-degree burglary and sexual assault against an at-risk victim (a victim with a disability).

Holland is no longer enrolled at CU, campus spokesperson Ryan Huff confirmed.

“We hold our student athletes to very high standards, and they know that when those are not met, there will be consequences,” Rick George, CU’s athletic director, said in a statement.

A freshman, Holland redshirted this season and didn’t see any playing time.

Holland’s father is Darius Holland, who played football at CU from 1991-1994.
