Apple co-founder, author and entrepreneur Steve Wozniak will be joining the University of Colorado community at Macky Auditorium on April 4 as part of the Conference on World Affairs.
“The Woz” has always had a yearning for teaching, which has inspired him to teach various grade school and high school courses. His latest professional efforts have been geared toward refining computer competencies and education within schools; he plans on discussing these efforts during the event.
Wozniak spent his first year of college at CU and has since shown great support for the university.
Cassandra Duchan, a student member of the Cultural Events Board says, “Wozniak is bringing a side of technology we often do not see on campus.”
Duchan adds that students can expect a various topics beyond education to be covered, as Wozniak “has worked in the tech field and has moved to do philanthropy and other endeavors afterwards. [He] shows that technology can be diversified.”
The talk will cover his various interests including robotics, business and creativity. Tickets are free for everyone and will be available starting March 28 with a Buff OneCard.
