The CU Independent’s controversial news podcast is back and revamped.
For the semester’s first episode, co-hosts Jordyn Siemens and Xandra McMahon take on the recent controversy surrounding Facebook’s “Trending” sidebar. After eliminating its team of contractors who moderated this sidebar, Facebook brought in a computerized algorithm to do the same job — which came with a multitude of its own problems.
