A university of Colorado student who was reported missing over a month ago has been confirmed to be deceased by law enforcement.
Mikhail “Misha” Solok, 20, was found dead on Tuesday several miles from campus in east Boulder near South Boulder Creek, according to the Daily Camera. No foul play is suspected, according to a statement released by CU Boulder. The coroner’s office will investigate his death.
“We are heartbroken to learn of Misha’s death, and extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends,” wrote CU Boulder Police Chief Doreen Jokerst in the statement. Jokerst thanked those who provided tips or assistance with the search.
Solok was reported missing by his family in March after they had been unable to contact him. He was from Aurora, Colo. and was studying political science.
“Our hearts go out to Misha’s family and friends,” Dean of Students Sandy Jones said in the statement.
Jones encouraged those struggling with the news to take advantage of campus resources, including Counseling and Psychiatric Services and Faculty and Staff Assistance.
