Muenzinger Psychology, GOLD Biosciences and Porter Biosciences reopened around 11 a.m. Wednesday, after temporarily being evacuated due to a fire alarm. The university announced classes will resume as normal for the remainder of the day.
Boulder Fire-Rescue is still working to determine the cause of haze found in the building.
At 9:30 a.m. Boulder Fire-Rescue responded to a fire alarm in the Muenzinger building. When crews arrived, they did not find an active fire, but saw haze in the building, according to the alert.
The university said crews would remain on scene until they determine the cause of the haze. The university advised people to be careful in the area due to fire crews’ use of water creating icy conditions.
One psychology professor who teaches a class in the Muenzinger building announced on Canvas they would move their class to Zoom.
Buff Buses are back on their regular routes and schedules as of 11 a.m. Buses were temporarily rerouted from Colorado Avenue, due to the proximity to the scene.
