Live Nation presented Alessia Cara, a Canadian singer-songwriter, for her “Love & Hyperbole” tour at Summit Music Hall in Denver on Nov. 2. She is known for her blend of pop and R&B influences. Alessia Cara has had tour stops in Denver in the past, as well as performances at the Children’s Hospital in Colorado, but she has not been back in almost 10 years. Her return delivered a heartfelt set that highlighted her growth as an artist and her connection to her original fans. She shared personal reflections about performing again in Denver and the inspiration behind her newer work, mixing in new songs with some of her first hits like “Here,” “Scars to Your Beautiful” and “Wild Things,” giving the crowd moments to sing along and reminisce.

Opening for Alessia Cara was Indy (India Rose Yelich-O’Connor) from New Zealand, known for her honest songwriting and introspective lyrics.

The Summit Music Hall venue provides a compact space that amplifies a sense of connection through Cara’s music and her resonance with audiences who have been with her since the beginning.
