The Shine on Norlin event kicked off on Oct. 1. The event not only featured a variety of performances and attractions for entertainment, but also a unique chance to showcase student artwork. Running throughout the end of the month, this event features nightly projections on the front-facing facade of the historic Norlin Library. These projections include various views into the history and accomplishments of the University of Colorado Boulder, as well as student-made animations and videos. This represents a unique opportunity for the university to grant recognition to its artists, and a way for these artists to showcase their work on a canvas to be viewed by students across the university.

CU organizers partnered with Denver-based creative entertainment company WAVEFORM.exp on the projections. A wide range of stories were covered, from the school’s cutting-edge space research to the campus’ cottonwood trees. Shine on Norlin enlists the help of student creators to paint a greater picture of 150 years of CU Boulder history.
