Evan Honer’s “It’s a Long Road” tour stopped by the Boulder Theater on Monday night with Sam Burchfield as an opener. After being rejected on the television series American Idol, Honer rose to stardom with his cover of “Jersey Giant,” amassing over 190 million streams on Spotify to date.
His current tour has brought out record levels of attendance for the artist, with his biggest shows recently in Toronto and Minneapolis. Honer will continue his “It’s a Long Road” tour through mid-April, and after a short break, will tour again over the summer. Though most well-known for his famous cover of a Tyler Childers original, Honer is forming his own name in the indie folk scene.
